Dr. Prus was outstanding. I have a personal history of really difficult, non-compassionate endocrinologists, to the point that I thought it came with the job description. Dr. Prus had me in tears, but not because she was tough, but because she was hands down the best endocrinologist I’ve ever seen-

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Dina S. Prus provides her patients with comprehensive endocrine care. She believes that the roots of disease lie in the molecules that make up our bodies. Endocrinology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of hormones—molecules that are no longer behaving as they should. Dr. Prus’s patients are active participants in their care, which she considers essential to their treatment and recovery. Her motto is: “We control the disease; the disease does not control us.”
Dr. Prus’s accolades include being a semifinalist at age 16 in The National Westinghouse Science Talent Search (now Regeneron) for research in diabetes. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and received her Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and pursued a fellowship in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.

My appointment was scheduled for 1pm. I arrived promptly at 12:45 as suggested by the confirmation email. I was checked in by 12:50pm. I was not seen until 2:25pm. They double booked Dr. Prus and it was not a pleasant experience. I thought I took off an appropriate amount of time from work for this appointment but was there well over the time. When seen by the doctor, I was only given an option of something that I already told her was not a consideration for me. I didn’t feel heard by this doctor. Due to the wait time, I most likely will not return.

This visit was so horrible. I wish I could rescind the visit entirely and make sure that Cigna does not pay for that consultation. There’s a short supply of endocrinologists where I live and I was very excited for this appointment even after having to wait two months for it. I never write reviews like this and it takes a lot for me to judge a person and this is officially the first time I’ve ever written a negative review about anyone, but this doctor was ZERO help, horrible bedside manner, completely disheveled and unkempt in appearance. Zero interest in addressing my issues. Even asked why I was there after explaining my long medical history. I had to ask to get lab work done, was told that I would get a call within a week, but I already knew I wouldn’t. My lab work was available the very next day on the patient portal. I interpreted the results on my own. Well bothers me more than the experience was the amount of time wasted waiting for this appointment, so very disappointed!!?

I was a little nervous because I haven’t seen an endocrinologist in a couple of years. However Dr Prus was very professional and got right to the bone of things. She listened to how I was feeling and wanted to fix things away. Highly recommend!

Though my wait time was a little long (about 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment), I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Prus. She listened to every concern I had and responded with expert advice. After years of struggling, she had a solution and even explained to me why this particular medication was the best of my options. I had seen a doctor in a similar field a few months earlier and left feeling as though I wasn't heard. I had the opposite experience with Dr. Prus and I finally feel like I'm on my way to the perfect treatment. I can't recommend her enough!

Long story short this so called endocrinologist is a fraudulent 2 min visits & saying there is nothing to discusses since I'm telling you your blood levels are normal... The doctor I seen for my complain said I have high levels on my thyroid assuring me I have hypothyroidism..... yes I got my co-pay returned an extra free visit with a different doctor...

I saw dr. Prus in July. She was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Upon booking a new appointment in November, it has been an absolute nightmare. Trying to get a referral for a blood test or thyroid sono is IMPOSSIBLE. Try calling the office and you will get rerouted to a call center who will attempt to connect you to the office who will then either hang up on you or keep you on hold for over 15 minutes at a time. It took me 8 calls to get a simple blood test Rx and over 12 calls to TRY to get my referral for a sono. 8/12 times i was hung up on. 4 times i was placed on hold for over 15 mins each and THEN sent to voicemail. Finally the ultrasound place managed to reach someone and the office told them they will not send a referral because i never saw Dr. Prus in the past. Complete fabrication! I will be reaching out to my insurance and letting them know to get their money back because apparently i was never a patient to start with. Never again will i deal with this incompetent office.

This was my 1st visit with the doctor. She was kind and courteous; her nurse as well. I had my 3 month old baby wirh me and the nurse held him while Dr. Prus performed her assessment. Dr. Prus welcomed children into her office, stating that "she would rather her patient bring their children than to miss an appointment". That was very thoughtful. I am looking forward to my follow up visit with Dr. Prus and her nurse.

I had such a great visit, from the moment I walked in till the moment I walked out, the front desk staff was very pleasant, the medical assistant was even more pleasant and put me right at ease while taking my history in the exam room. Then Dr. Prus, what can I say she is so wonderful, I felt like she listened to every word I said and answered all my questions. I will definitely recommend Dr. Prus to everyone I know. It has been a long time that I have felt so welcomed at a doctors office.

When I walked into the building and into Suite 302, I was told to go to 305 across the hall. And then I stood in front of the woman at the front desk for almost 10 minutes before she acknowledge me, so needless to say I did not have high hopes for the rest of the appointment. But then I was taken to the back by Dr. Prus's assistant for intake and she was very kind and welcoming. And then I met with Dr. Prus and she, too, was very kind and welcoming. She asked me lots of questions and explained things to me. I never felt rushed or that my concerns weren't important to her. She gave me clear next steps and advice and I appreciate that. Would definitely go back!

The doctor was kind of condescending and wasn't very friendly. She sent me to get lab work but the codes she used were all wrong so I wasted my time and blood.

Very friendly and professional! This includes the entire staff, as well as, the doctor. Everyone took the time to listen and showed genuine concern. Had blood work done that evening, and the doctor called the next morning with the results! Highly recommended!!!

I cannot praise Dr.Prus enough. Her staff was very courteous and helpful. She was very thorough with the examination to target all possible complications from 15+ years of juvenile diabetes and was willing to sit with me to answer any questions and update all my dosages and diabetic equipment. I really got the feeling that I'm in good hands.
