I had sports knee injury and was unsure how soft tissue was affected. Dr. Crone was very helpful with walking me through his diagnostic tests and the reasoning behind them. He decided it was best I get an MRI. His team worked hard to make sure that my insurance would allow for the MRI. Once the MRI results came back Dr. Crone called me immediately to tell me what was wrong and reassured me that I'd recover in no time.

There was a major hiccup in the morning, but the office staff and Doctor Crone did everything to get me in and out on time.
I felt that the staff was courteous and I also felt that Dr. Crone was thorough in my diagnosis, and he offered real options.

This doctor is amazing and really helped to create a great treatment plan for me after I was in a bad car accident.

Dr. Crone saw me right away and took his time diagnosing my (pretty minor) elbow issue and answering my questions.
Hilarious and entertaining but has his style which you have to play along with. Professional otherwise.
Straight forward, knowledgeable, caring, a certain joie de vivre...wish more doctors were like him.
Dr. Crone was professional and had a great sense of humor, which made me feel at ease.
I like this guy! Down to earth and funny but very efficent at the same time & honest!

Very friendly and good at explaining the diagnosis and course of action for recovery
Super arrogant... but thats every orthopedist ever. Kinda like a cocky jock kid.
Not bad. Bedside manner was a bit odd, but informative diagnosis, so I'm happy.
Felt like I was in good hands: Dr. Crone was very knowledgeable and efficient.

Visiting Dr. Crone was an interesting experience because of his personality. He's professional and very knowledgeable, but very droll and darkly funny. I liked it, but if you're not expecting that sort of bedside manner it might be kind of jarring to some. Then again, he's an orthopedist not an oncologist, so where's the harm? The really good thing is that they have their X-ray machine on premises so you don't have to wait for results---you see right away what might be ailing you. There was little to no wait time and his office staff was courteous. Most importantly is that he really seemed to know his stuff. In the end, that's what you want most from your specialist.
This was probably one of the best doc appointments I've ever had. I was seen right away. Dr. Eric Crone was thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He actually listened to my concerns and listened to all 100 questions I had. Loved his personality. Very personable.
Verified patient
Humorous bedside manner, though he takes audio notes during the visit which is slightly distracting, though I appreciate that he's thorough. Very adept at diagnosing sports injuries, in my case anyway. I like that he's more likely to recommend PT than surgery.

Dr. Crone is awesome. Professional, knowledgable, and direct, with a strong mix of dry wit - I'm sold! Very to the point, yet not rushed in any way whatsoever. Happy to have found him and highly recommend!
Verified patient
There was no wait time, and he is excellent.

Dr. Crone was thorough in arriving at a diagnosis, answered my many questions and provided treatment options, rather than a "band-aid fix" to my condition.

I had some issues with my elbow due to a sports injury. Dr. Crone saw me right away, had an x-ray done, and was able to tell me fairly quickly what was wrong. He recommended certain exercises to try first before attempting any drastic methods. He definitely has a quirky/sarcastic sense of humor. Reminded me a little bit of Dr. House from tv. It didn't bother me in the least, but if you are sensitive about that kind of stuff it's something to consider.
Great doctor.

I met Dr. Crone for the first time today and he was great. I have never laughed so much in a doctor's office. He has a dry sense of humor, which made for a comfortable experience. He audio records his sessions, which is nice and shows he really cares. I only waited 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment to see him. I had x-rays taken and then he promptly gave me a diagnosis and tips to help heal my issue. He's smart, attentive and is happy to answer questions without making you feel insecure.

My visit with Dr Crone was a big disappointment. I'll try to be as objective as possible in stating the facts about this visit: - 25-30min wait time at the reception. However, he would walk out of the room for 15-25 min stretches with no explanation or anything, just like get up and walk out. Total wait time: about 1.5hrs. - He was seeing 2-3 patients simultaneously. How do I know? Because he left all the doors open which meant they all know what's wrong with my foot and I know all the details for their injuries and treatments. - He has all his rooms with a door that leads to the x-ray machine. Not sure why, but I think it's for the extra money. My injury was definitely soft tissue, not bone. He didn't examine me, and had someone get me for an x-ray. I didn't need one, but they wouldn't know because I wasn't examined. He just knew where the general pain was and required it, even though it was soft tissue. Me: "But doctor, you haven't examined me yet." Him: "I won't touch your foot without an x-ray." Me: "well in that case I don't have a choice." He turns and tells the technician that I would get the x-ray. Then he proceeds to examine me BEFORE the x-ray. As in, it wasn't about getting the images. It was about getting the x-ray done and likely the extra money for it. - Bedside manner: cold at best, rude at worst. He did try to joke about the competence of his front office secretaries, but I'm not sure if that's what could be considered humor. Bottom line, wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Crone was professional, empathetic and funny. Once my name was called, things went quickly and I left feeling confident about his diagnosis and what the next steps were. Highly recommend!

I liked Doctor Crone.,-good combination of professional and sympathetic. He doesn't jump to conclusions. Diagnosed my disorder and am hopefully on my way to being healed

Intelligent. Professional.

He was thorough and thoughtful. He was knowledgeable and listened to me before making any assessment. I would definitely go back to see Dr. Crone! The only downside is that the wait time was a bit longer than I expected, even with an appointment.
I read numerous good reviews for Dr. Crone on ZocDoc, so I was very optimistic going into the appointment. It's hard for me to understand what exactly people like so much about him. His "bedside manner" is to be very crude and unrefined. It's definitely not what I would call professional. He barely greeted me, ignored me half the time I was there, would leave without saying anything for long stretches of time, would come back with his mouth full of food, and would often make irrelevant remarks or jokes (which, admittedly, were sometimes funny, despite their crudeness and somewhat juvenile quality). To his credit, he seems to know his stuff, listened, asked questions, and did the requisite examinations...but that seems to be a pretty low bar. He might be the right doctor for some folks, and I can see there's something to appreciate in his manner (he's pretty down to earth), but it's just not what I want in a doctor. His office staff was rather cold and mechanical as well. Perhaps things change after the first impression, but I'm not sure I'll bother getting a second.
Dr. Crone can be a bit blunt, but he diagnosed my chronic issues almost instantly, unlike the many other doctors who couldn't figure it out at all. My life is dramatically better having met Dr. Crone.

Not only did he take his time to diagnose my issue and spell everything out clearly, but I walked out smiling and laughing. His demeanor was professional and friendly. He made it to my short list of top docs. I highly recommend!
Verified patient
Very thorough.
Verified patient
Very matter of fact when gathering the information but was very thorough and spent a lot of time discussing once he had the ex-rays back. Would definitely recommend.
Verified patient
Very forthright and informal, and willing to spend a few extra minutes to make sure all issues were understood. Dr. Crone proactively offered to refer me to another practitioner for a surgical procedure that was outside of his usual suite but offered to do followups if the other surgeon wasn't meeting my needs, which suggested to me both a high level of professional ethics and a high standard of care.
solid
At first I thought Dr. Crone was brushing me off when he first talked to me, but he was really just gathering data to make an informed diagnosis. After getting a few Xrays, he was able to quickly see what my problem was, and his entire demeanor changed. He then thoughtfully explained my situation and went through all of the treatment steps in detail. He seemed busy the day I saw him, which is why I think he was quick at first. But once he had made the diagnosis, he took his time and made sure all of my questions were answered.
Verified patient
Very straightforward, helpful, and friendly.

Dry sense of humor :) Took his time, explained everything, was very thorough, never felt rushed for a moment. I would definitely use him again and recommend him.
Verified patient
Very satisfied. The only reason I say I would "probably" recommend this Dr.is the fact that (fortunately) my injury is not significant - I can't say I have, or will have a history with the Dr. That said, I was seen right away, and the injury, as well as the treatment, were explained thoroughly. Neither the doctor nor the staff made any effort to effort to schedule unnecessary follow ups - totally left up to me ("if no improvment within a specificed time period, give us a call"). No pressure, a good atmosphere, and overall a very positive experience.
Dr Crone is sharp and to-the-point. He has an intimate and intuitive knowledge of his field, and has a unique presence when interacting with his patience.
