Dr. Rubin was the exact opposite of thorough. I never had a faster eye exam. His distance prescription appears to be ok but the close-up one is not very good. I suspect he got the wrong angle for my astigmatism because letters look somewhat blurry. His manner was awful. He appeared hurried and inattentive, although I complained about having serious problems with my current prescription. I don't think he checked for glaucoma or other diseases (he did mumble something about a possible slight cataract in one eye but did not explain what I should do about it) and he did not dilate the pupils - maybe this is not always necessary but it is good to talk about it and explain to the patient why it is not done.
