Hello! I'm Gurleen Hans, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. I'm currently working as a Nurse Practitioner at Mental Health Practitioners, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults and adolescents.
Prior to becoming a PMHNP, I spent five years as a Registered Nurse, gaining extensive experience in both intensive care and psychiatric nursing. This diverse clinical background allows me to approach mental health holistically, recognizing the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and life circumstances.
I specialize in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
My practice philosophy centers on meeting patients where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. I'm known for my grounded, honest approach and value transparency in all aspects of treatment. I believe every person is an expert regarding their lived experiences, and I take time to understand each patient's unique situation to develop personalized treatment plans. I work collaboratively with patients to monitor their progress and adjust treatments as needed, ensuring they remain active participants in their care journey. I recognize that seeking help takes courage, and I'm committed to making that process as comfortable and supportive as possible.
I strive to help individuals better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and move towards sustainable change. My goal is to provide thoughtful care that supports long-term wellness while fostering trust, insight, and personal growth.
