Dr. Cohen is so wonderful. HIs entire office is. I've been to see him twice. He takes time and answers questions. He is one of the few doctors I see who looks beyond the chart and considers everything. This time he asked me if I had immunity to Hep A,B, and C in addition to the reason I was there. I never thought to be tested. So glad to have him as my gastroenterologist.

Dr. Cohen is a gastroenterology attending in the Division of Digestive Diseases at Mount Sinai Beth Israel as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology. His current research passions are in quality assurance and performance improvement focused on improving colorectal cancer screening rates in the NY- metropolitan area. Before joining the faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, he completed his gastroenterology fellowship, chief residency and internal medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. He also previously served as an academic hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine and concentrated in Biopsychology & Cognitive Science and Economics at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I liked Dr. Cohen, and have confidence that he will be able to solve my problem. My appointment was the last one of the day, so it's not surprising that it was a little late before I was able to see the doctor.

This was my first visit with Dr. Cohen. He covered all health bases besides the one I went for and recommended additional tests that I wasn't expecting. Mt. Sinai on 14st Union Square is a large facility but you'll feel you're in a small office and relaxed with Dr. Cohen.

Overall very satisfied. Dr Cohen listened attentively to my concerns and offered alternative treatment options explaining the pros and cons of each. He spoke clearly and has a comforting communication style. He did not rush through the consultation and gave me the opportunity to ask all the questions on my mind.
