In our practice we have focused on the treatment of infertility from basic evaluation to the most advanced treatments with IVF and beyond. Over the years we focused our attention to sperm and egg donations, gestational surrogacy, men having babies, endometriosis, sperm and endometrial infections and ovarian stimulation. Evaluation of repeated pregnancy loss and hormone stimulation of both man and woman are also included in what we do.
Stem cell treatment and clinical use of stem cell derived exosomes (small particles that function as messengers between cells) have started to induce excitement in infertility treatments. Intrauterine infusion of exosomal growth factors into the uterine cavity can actively stimulate growth of an atrophic or thin endometrium. In some instances growth factors from stem cell exosomes stimulate sperm production in men. We have also seen that direct injection of exosomes into the ovary of women with poor ovarian reserve [low AMH (Anti Müllerian Hormone) or low ovarian follicle count] which often occurs in the later part of reproductive life can be stimulated to produce more eggs and also increases AMH values. We also have a program to stimulate egg production in patients with premature ovarian failure (POF) and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR).
Stem cell stimulation is also important for vaginal rejuvenation. The use of laser and radio frequency on vaginal and uretheral tissue liberates nitrous oxide from nerves and vessels. This nitrous oxide stimulate local stem cells to produce growth factors that increase the production of fibroblasts, elastin and collagen. This dramatically improves vaginal lubrication but most importantly reduces and often eliminates urinary leakage so you don’t need pad or panty liners any more. Such leakage is common after vaginal deliveries but is also a result of normal aging. Friberg Medical Associates have a combined laser-radio frequency equipment to address these concerns.
In addition we also have a focus on treating overweight persons. Obesity increases the risk of infertility and is also a risk factor for pregnancy loss. We use nutritional advise, diet and anti-obesity medication. We are also capable to remove fat non-surgically with high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). This technique is best for body sculpting such as getting rid of “love handles” but with “combined therapy” good results can be obtained.

Dr. Friberg and his staff were so warm and personable, it reminded me of a small-town family practice rather than a big-city medical establishment. I felt so cared for and attended to...an above-and-beyond experience that I don't expect these days anymore. The only downside is that they're closing their downtown Chicago office and focusing on Glencoe. But I loved them so much I've decided to make the trek to continue seeing him. It's worth it!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They make you feel very comfortable with everything. Dr. Friberg was great as well! These days it's hard for me to find a doctor that will actually sit down and find out my needs and concerns, explain my options and genuinely care about their patients. I definitely found all of those in Dr. Friberg. Not to mention, I barely waited to go back and see him. Highly recommended!

He was very nice but unfortunately unclear with me about what I had. I went in for an infection and the only way I found out what it was is by googleing the medicine he gave me. Then I went in for a follow up because he said the infection would probably not be gone yet, he didn't even examine me. He just sat me down to tell me about my test results which were all fine, and never brought up the reason I was there for the follow up. I was so uncomfortable that I couldn't even bring myself to bring it up myself.

Dr. Friberg's bedside manner is impeccable. He always clearly explains the plan of action and why he is making a particular treatment recommendation. My questions are always answered, concerns discussed and I never feel rushed. The rest of the staff in the office is equally excellent.

Dr. Friberg was absolutely fantastic. Once I was able to see him, he was very thorough in my examination and was very friendly while answering any questions that I might have. My only complaint about his office is that although I showed up 20 minutes before my appointment was to start, I wasn't seen until more than an hour and twenty minutes after my appointment time; and that was only after I went up to the receptionist and told her that. I ended up being very late on my way back to work.

I loved Dr.Friberg because he is very knowledgeable. He was able to predict my ovulation very accurately. He was very respectful to my wish not to use IVF due to religious reasons (Catholic)
I would recommend him to all my friends who are TTC or just looking for a great OBGYN
