Dr. Unger was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in aviation engineering management in route to becoming a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. For six years, Dr. Unger served in various areas on land and sea, and he developed many of the leadership and critical-thinking skills that he uses every day with his dental patients.
Following his time in service, he returned to Ohio State for dental school. He has been in private practice since graduating in 2009. Though new to Texas, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge. His expertise includes the newest technologies the dental field has to offer, including dental implants, 3D imaging, same-day in-office crowns, laser cavity detection and therapy, and intra-oral digital cameras. Since 2012, Dr. Unger has been a clinical trainer for many of these technologies. He has worked directly with countless dental professionals to improve their skills and understanding.
