Dr. Giovanelli was born and raised in River Vale, New Jersey. He received his undergraduate training at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where he majored in Human Movement Studies (exercise physiology). While at Auburn, Dr. Giovanelli participated in various research studies at The National Strength Research Center. This education not only assisted him as a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter, it has given him a unique approach incorporating exercise rehab into his chiropractic practice. Dr. Giovanelli received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1988 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa at the age of 23. While at Palmer, Dr. Giovanelli received a Certificate of Merit for Superior Clinical Proficiency, was elected to Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, and interned for the late Dr. Virgil Strang, former President of Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Since opening on 10/31/1988, Dr. Giovanelli has taken hundreds of hours of postgraduate education in courses such as neurology, sports injuries, orthopedics, pediatrics, extremity adjusting and biophysics. Dr Giovanelli is certified in the use of the Impulse and Impulse IQ adjusting instrument technique for those cases where manual manipulation techniques are contraindicated.
From 2014 to 2017, Dr Giovanelli worked exclusively at Pinewood Atlanta studios where he treated grips, construction, special effects artists, costume designers, art directors, production designers, directors, producers, actors, and stunt people from the biggest Marvel movies of all time.
Dr Giovanelli is licensed to perform manipulation under anesthesia in Georgia for conditions such as frozen shoulder and torticollis.He is a certified extremity adjuster through Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa trained and endorsed by Chiropractic Hand & Foot Clinics of America. Dr. Giovanelli is an active licensed chiropractor in Georgia.
