Dr. John Rachel is board certified in Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery, board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
An expert surgeon specializing in medical and cosmetic facial plastic surgery, Rachel has an extensive background in medical research. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Michigan State University, he went on to graduate Alpha Omega Alpha (honor medical society) from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also trained with Dr. William Beeson, the former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Rachel has published numerous academic papers in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Archives of Otolaryngology and Dermatologic Surgery, and has presented much of his work at national medical meetings.

My worries were eased finally. I knew something was wrong with my nose and such, but I kept being told that it was just a cold. Now I have an idea of what is wrong and that there is something that can be done. Plus he took the time to explain everything. Great job!

All I can say is wow !!! This doctor and his staff were amazing. This is defiantly a doctor who cares. This was my first time seeing DR. Rachel and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needed an ENT.

Dr. Rachel is a superb and skilled surgeon. There are few if any doctors that have the high regard that Dr. Rachel has for his patients. His surgical skills are surpassed by none.

Smart doctor. He asked me way smarter questions than doctors usually ask, which made diagnosing what kind of throat infection I had a matter of seconds. Then he explained everything about it. My only complaint is that he failed to inform me that the antibiotics he rescribed for me they stain the teeth brown. I would have liked to know and/or to have been given options.

Healthcare in America is loaded with challenges; so much so that most "patient experiences" have left me feeling like a cog on an assembly line. I used to think the CARE in healthcare was all shriveled up... until my appointment today with Dr. Rachel. He offered such patience, kindness, and thorough explanation to my many questions. Additionally, he quickly and painlessly removed a lesion in 15 minutes that other, less patient-centered providers recommended an all-day OR procedure for! I have been saved time, anxiety, and my faith in healers is restored. THANK YOU Dr. Rachel for being a different kind of doctor.
