More about Dr. Keith Donatto, MD
Keith Donatto MD earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Stanford University and his M.D. degree at the University of California, San Francisco.
He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Louisiana State University in his native city of New Orleans. He returned to the Bay Area to complete his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery with Roger Mann, MD in Oakland.
Dr. Donatto has held two university appointments. He was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and served as Chief of foot and ankle surgery at the Medical Center of Louisiana in New Orleans. During his tenure there, he also served as a consultant to the New Orleans Saints professional football team, the New Orleans Zephyrs triple A baseball team and the Brass, a minor league hockey team. Prior to joining California Pacific Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, he served as Chief of foot and ankle surgery at UCSF.
At present Dr.Donatto is a company physician for the San Francisco Ballet and their foot and ankle surgeon. He is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and was recently appointed to their Occupational Health Committee.
Dr.Donatto's special interests are adult and adolescent reconstructive, arthroscopic, and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle. He has published peer-reviewed articles on these topics and has lectured nationally and internationally.
