He is everything that a doctor should be. He doesn't hide behind his computer he looks and talks to you face-to-face one-on-one. He thinks outside the box and looks for other alternatives other than medication.

This was my first visit as a new patient.
So far, I can say that Doc Larry's energy and manner matched my own....and that he was candid and direct with the treatment / diagnostic plan.
More to be learned as I schedule my annual physical soon in the future.....and for the balance of the treatment of my knee issue....the purpose of today's visit.

Dr. Larry J. Witmer is proud, privileged, and honored to be practicing family medicine in his hometown of Aurora, where he resides with his wife and children.
He is board certified in Family Medicine, a Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Primary Care Institute Southeast Regional Medical Director, the site Medical Director for the University Hospitals Aurora Health Center, and the Associate Director of Family Medicine for the Richmond and Bedford Campuses of UH Regional Hospitals.
He graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from John Carroll University in 1993.
He served as the Chief Resident of Family Medicine at St. John West Shore Hospital, graduating in 2000. He joined University Hospital's Twinsburg Family Medicine practice in March 2002 and then helped open University Hospital’s Aurora Health Center in 2012.
He has a passion for medical education, pediatrics and sports, serving as a mentor to many undergraduates in the local area, along with current medical students, interns and residents.
Dr. Witmer sees patients for a variety of illnesses, sports related injuries, certain specialized reasons, and health maintenance. He is deeply committed to the well-being of his patients. He takes a thorough and precise approach to his consultations to ensure that he is not only upholding the standard of care, but also, going beyond, to help patients with their concerns.
