Dr. Carmazi graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and has been practicing dentistry for over twenty years. She is also certified in "Invisalign" and "Lumineers". She incorporates her training in these courses into her treatment plans. Her goal is to provide you with a healthy and aesthetic smile.
While treating patients Dr. Carmazi addresses the patients concerns as well as incorporating preventative treatment. Patients concerns and goals are included in the process of developing a treatment plan. Most importantly Dr. Carmazi makes sure that each and every one of her patients are comfortable and at ease while in the dental chair.

Office was dirty and staff were quite unprofessional, noticed that neither the dentist nor her hygienist changed their gloves when entering the room which made me a little nervous. Felt pressured to purchase a mouth guard which I knew I wouldn't wear. My filling fell out after one week, and had to be replaced.

I hadn't been to the dentist in way too long (let's just say years), and Dr. Carmazi was great about it. Straightforward yet comforting. She has that "don't worry, we're gonna fix this" type of attitude that you want doctors to have, especially when the appointment is long overdue.
She's super flexible about working around your schedule and has even seen me after work - so appreciated!
Her business card says Cosmetic and Implant dentistry, but she does the general stuff too. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with her forever, or until one of us moves!

Had a cleaning scheduled. Some lady (receptionist and assistant?) first took all my Xrays while shaking her head and bad mouthing the dentist which made me really uncomfortable. Doctor came in asked me if I had any questions, took calls during my appointment so I had to sit in the chair and wait until she was done. Then she did the cleaning which lasted all of 5 minutes where she just stabbed me randomly with tools and then "polished" my teeth and I was spitting out chunks of "polish" . Then she glanced at my xrays, barely looking at them, and stopped looking at the rest when she found a filling and told me that it would need to be fixed as soon as possible and made me another appointment. I feel like I walked in as a new patient and all she saw was a dollar sign above my head. I have been going to the same dentist for 23 years and it's dentists like this that make me so afraid of changing - I only changed because I moved. I would not recommend and have rescheduled for another cleaning elsewhere which means I'll have to pay full price since insurance already paid for this.

Dr. Carmazi sat down with me for all of 10 minutes, blasted my teeth clean with the water pick, left bits of the tooth polish in my mouth, and tried to up-sell me on teeth whitening. It was an awfully impersonal and unpleasant experience overall.

dr. carmazi was great, but i was only to find out that she didn't accept my insurance once i arrived. when i searched for a dentist on zocdoc, i filtered them thru the insurance option first to make sure they take mine. i made sure multiple times that dr. carmazi accepts my insurance, and accodring to zocdoc, she did. (i see that it's been fixed now) however, when i showed up, it was a different story as dr. carmazi doesn't accept my insurance. clearly i was getting upset when i took my sick time from work for this appointment and travel to find out that i had to co-pay to see her?
however, dr. carmazi was very kind and generous to accommodate the situation and took the responsibility for either zocdoc's or her mistake by putting the wrong insurance list under her practice. i did get my cleaning done, and she didn't charge me for the co-pay. (which she should've, i guess, since she doesn't accept my insurance in full)
she was also quick, professional, and straight to the point which i appreciate. if she accepted my insurance, i would've definitely go back to her.

Malka is one of the most talented dentists I have ever seen. I told her this was my second filling between two teeth and that I thought I was using my disposable flosswer tool correctly. She said I shouldn't use that and took the time to hold up a hand mirror to my face and demonstrate proper flossing technique. In my 25 years of existence no one has taken the time to do that for me! The filling looks gorgeous and no pain at all, during or after the procedure. Also, her daughter is her assistant! I am a committed patient to her practice; you should be too!

DDS Carmazi seemed like a good dentist. Location was easily accessible, but I wasnt fond of the condition of the office. I prefer modern office spaces. Especially when I go to the dentist----I like nice decor, nice lighting, modern furniture, that sterile but hip and warm feeling. Ambiance is VERY important. Outdated spaces make me feel less comfortable. Its a deal breaker for me at least.

Very thorough exam and cleaning done by Dr. Carmazi herself. Very nice, efficient, and personable. She also gave me very good advice regarding a tooth that's had a root canal, even knowing that I'm moving and won't be back for the service from her office.
