Maria A. Mederos received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 1992. For 13 years Maria worked in Emergency rooms, critical care and specialized in cardiac care at Palmetto Hospital, Palm Springs, Cleveland Clinic Hospital and Westside Regional. During her nursing career, she also taught in the nursing department at Broward Community College as an adjunct clinical instructor.
In 2004, Maria graduated from Florida Atlantic University obtaining her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She is a Board Certified in Gerontology in honor and memory of a patient in her 1st nursing rotation. For 14 years she has collaborated with physician in the specialty of Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Emergency room and primary care. While practicing as a Medical Health Care Professional, she also became certified in Aesthetic procedures where she has tandemly practiced for over 10 years in Medical Spas and Medical Aesthetic offices, believing that health is taking care of the body as a whole, inside and outside.
During her 26-year career, Maria has dedicated herself to taking care of the aging population and promoting Preventive medicine as the Foundation for Healthy Aging guided by her belief that Age is just a number, and aging is a conscious attitude.
Her passion for helping people and to promote a healthy aging attitude drove her to open a Medical Spa in Miami Lakes in 2005 and now her venture in Best of Me Wellness Center. At Best of Me, her focus is to provide a center where Western and Eastern medicine complement each other and help take the individual into a healthy life journey.

I am extremely pleased with my visit. I arrived maybe 20 minutes before my appointment and was taken in almost right away.
I had my kid with me and they happily offered to watch him in the reception area while I was seen.
The office was modern, chic and super clean.
I explained a painful experience I had a few months ago at my last gynecologist’s office to Ms. Mederos right before we started, and she offered me comforting words to help me relax.
My procedure was super quick and painless and she encouraged me by letting me know how healthy things looked at a glance, which I appreciated!
I am now waiting on her call for my results and I highly recommend Ms. Mederos and the rest of the staff at this facility. Thank you!
