Mark seems to be highly interested in my health goals and took the time to listen to me and explain next steps. It’s clear that he is very knowledgeable. Mark is also very personable and I was extremely comfortable during my appointment which is rare whenever I’ve dealt with other healthcare providers.

Mark Yarshen, DO, is a board-certified primary care physician, educated in the osteopathic tradition. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Benedictine University, Dr. Yarshen received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Yarshen completed his residency through Hinsdale Family Medicine residency Program in 2006, where he served as Chief Resident. Before joining St. Joseph Health, Dr. Yarshen practiced medicine full-time as a patient-focused primary care physician in Oswego, Illinois. There he utilized a collaborative and team-based approach to deliver the best care possible to the patient while developing protocol- based solutions for treatment delivery.

I typically don’t like the doctor’s office and have had bad experiences with military doctors. This was an amazing new experience for me. I felt comfortable to talk about any and everything and was talked to like a person, not a machine or belittled for voicing concerns of my mental and physical health. I would highly recommend Dr. Yarshen to anyone looking for a primary care doctor. He was very kind, easy to talk to, and efficient. The staff was nice, the waiting room was spacious, and everything was very clean.
