Originally from Brooklyn, Mary Stein is an empowering, knowledgeable, and approachable Nurse Practitioner who holds invaluable experience in both a clinical and classroom setting. Mary prides herself in caring for women who have issues/questions/long-standing problems with: Urinary tract infections, vaginal yeast and bacterial infections, (especially recurrent ones), Herpes issues and HPV. Oftentimes, there are many myths surrounding these issues, and Mary always takes the time to help clear these up for patients. “I am very open – patients report that they feel comfortable “talking to me about anything”, and I really like that I have that trust. It’s a privilege.”
Mary received her graduate degree from the Columbia University School of Nursing. While at Columbia, she taught undergraduate students, as well as in the school’s learning laboratory and Hospital.
Mary Stein is a long-standing member of a community boathouse in lower Manhattan - they row boats called ”Whitehall gigs” that are handbuilt in their boathouse and are modeled on the New York City water taxis from the 1800s. In her free time, she also enjoys teaching women – especially women over 40 --how to snowboard, and she runs a large project at holiday time called Operation Santa, which was originally started by volunteers at the James Farley Post Office in Manhattan. She also loves traveling, and watching Hockey – especially the New York Rangers. Mary has a large extended family scattered throughout NY, NJ and PA.
