Dr. Safir is really incredible. In sensitive matters like this, bedside manner is almost as important as skill and experience. Dr. Safir has both. Sadly for his LA patients, but happily for Dr. Safir, he is moving his practice to San Francisco. If I ever have any issues, I will make the trip before trying to fine someone else.

Michael Safir is an experienced and accomplished urologist and urological surgeon practicing in the communities of Sherman Oaks and West Hills, CA. Dr. Safir attended Northwestern University, where he received his medical degree and completed his residency in urology. He then went on to complete his fellowship in neuro-urology and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his fellowship in trauma and reconstructive urology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Safir is board certified by the American Board of Urology and holds professional memberships in the American Urological Association, the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, the Los Angeles County Medical Society, and the California Urological Association. He is the author of the book Overcoming Urinary Incontinence—a woman’s guide to overcoming and understanding this urological condition.
Dr. Safir was previously an assistant professor of urology at New York Medical College. Dr. Safir is uncompromising in his dedication to the well-being of his patients. He gives each patient his focused attention, and he prides himself on delivering the best treatment available.

We arrived early for our appointment, but it was over an hour before we saw the doctor. Also, it was almost impossible to book the return appointment given the doctor's packed schedule.

This is a well run office (at least it appeared that way on my first visit). Staff is friendly and helpful. I arrived early and was actually seen BEFORE my scheduled appointment time! I don't think that's ever happened to me before. Dr. Safir is very personable and seems to be very knowledgeable. He asked good "probing" questions to help him diagnose my illness.
The only negative I can think of (and this is really "nitpicking") is the tiny parking lot. But there is a valet on duty which makes this more manageable.
