It was a very pleasant experience, very professional staff with a very pleasant bedside manner, the office had a waiting room that anyone would expect from an office that surely cares about the patients needs, which was the case here. I plan to be going back to this Doctor for many years, and would tell everyone with needs for a heart doctor, to be sure to choose this one.

Dr. Minerva Santo-Tomas is a board certified cardiologist in Miami, FL. She is one of the few female cardiologists in Miami as well. Dr. Santo-Tomas was born in Cuba but was raised locally here in Miami, FL. She attended Boston University where she earned her Medical Degree and then traveled to Illinois to complete her internship in Internal Medicine. After that, she came back to Home to Miami and finished her Residency in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Her last year, she was named Chief Resident of her program.
Dr. Santo-Tomas has published many research articles and has given many presentations on Cardiovascular health, heart disease prevention and other conditions that affect the heart. She was just recently highlighted in March 2012 edition of Heart and Soul Magazine where the publication did a piece on her practice as well as her career.
Dr. Santo-Tomas loves spending time with her family here in Miami and enjoy meeting new patients and helping them treat their current symptoms and get them on them back on the right track.

Upon arriving-on time- was not told by the receptionist that the doctor had not yet arrived. This information was given after 35 min when I asked how much longer it would take? At this time I was also told that there was no telling when the doctor would arrive! This is the sexing time in as many appointments that this happened, the first time it took over an hour. So I elected to leave. No reflection on Dr. Minerva's skills, which are good, but I will be looking for another practice that is more respectful of my time.

This place is a mess, when I arrived the secretary was sitting eating and taking care of the patients!
I know that you are not going to believe more that's true!
In addition it had my picture on the door of a madman who had just put fire in this place three weeks ago ! Why ? she never tell me ... but I really got scared.

Dr Minerva Santo-Tomas was very nice and knowledgeable but the way the clinic is managed is a disaster. I had to go 3 times, each time I waited over 2 hours despite the fact that I had scheduled the appointments in advance and had called prior to leaving work (early) to ask if there was any delay. My last visit was to get my results: 2h45 minutes in the waiting room for a consultation with the doctor of... 3 minutes. Very unprofessional, the secretaries are not helpful at all and don't care about the patients. An old man was sitting next to me, he was struggling to stay awake and seated and no one checked on him! The secretaries just close the windows and don't want to be 'disturbed'... 4 people lost patience and left the waiting room after waiting over 1h30 hour. I should have done the same. I will not come back. Too bad because with a bit of effort on time management and a better team this would be a much nicer 'experience'.
