The wait was long, but Dr. Barrere was great! He did a good job listening to my concerns and let me know when he was unsure of something, referring me to a specialist.
The staff was also very polite and responsive, providing follow-up calls as needed. My only complaint was that I got a slightly different prescription from the one I'd been using, but it was comparable, so it wasn't a big deal.

Arrived early for my appointment, still had to wait over an hour to be seen. Got my name wrong and I had to tell four people before someone fixed it. Took several tests but did not tell me what the tests were, so even though they all came back negative, I still don't know what to rule out. Overall, going here was a huge waste of time.

I made a 1:40 appt through ZocDoc which the office had to change to 2 PM. I got there promptly at 2 and didn't get taken back until 2:50, which was a bit annoying but I learned long ago to bring a book to any doctor's appointment. Very convenient for me and nice staff. I'll definitely go back for any health issues.

Dr. Barrere was extremely attentive, courteous, and professional. He truly transcends the typical doctor only concerned with getting through as many patients as possible. He takes his time, and ensures you only leave once all of your concerns have been addressed. Will continue to visit his practice for as long as I reside in the district and will be recommending to all my friends, family, and co-workers.

I was very happy with just about every aspect of my visit. Dr. Barrere himself is an impressive, gregarious doctor, and his staff (I dealt with a waiting room attendant and two physician's assistants) were pleasant and professional. The L Street location is a little out of the way (though in a perfectly safe neighborhood), but the office itself is exceptionally clean and well-designed. I'd go back.

I waited almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment to be seen. That said, Dr. Barrere was mindful enough to apologize for the inconvenience and then proceeded to have a very thorough, honest, and insightful conversation regarding my options for treatment. I will definitely be returning to this office and would recommend it to friends ... with the recommendation to bring a book.

My experience with Dr. Barrere was very pleasant. He was extremely courteous, got to know me, and answered every question I had. He met with me in a timely manner and it felt like he genuinely cared about my health. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a physical or anything of that nature!

He comes across as caring, thorough and to the point. I felt he was in no hurry to move on to the next patient until any and all of my questions or concerns were addressed. As a health care consumer I can't ask for much more than that.

I was his first appointment of the morning and he was an hour late. Apparently there was traffic, so I wasn't going to hold that against him. Still, I was told he would be 30 minutes late. So the extra thirty minutes made me very late for work. DUring the visit he was friendly. I was just there for a physical; I'm not sure that I'd go there if I felt really sick. The place is very new and doesn't feel like an established practice.
