Patient reviews for Dr. Rodolfo Gonzalez
I have been to an OBGYN appointment in the past in Alexandria and the process was fairly quick. When I went into the OBGYN room there was a medical student who was fairly nice, but personally I think she needs more training on making sure that the tool used for the vaginal culture test needs to be place in more comfortably. It hurt a lot compared to the other office I went to.
Dr. Gonzalez was great. He is very personable and explains things well, making sure that you understand by speaking in layman’s terms. His office in Fairfax is quite run down and small, but if you don’t mind that, everything else was fine. The equipment was older, but all of it was clean and sanitary. The wait time was about 40 minutes, but that might have been how busy it was during my visit.
Dr. Gonzalez was thorough and professional. He made sure every issue was addressed and answered all of my questions. It was worth the little wait to be seen. I found my new OB!
This was a very professional, informative, and kind office. The staff was personal and prompt. This is the best doctor's office experience I've had in Northern Virginia.
I think he was in such a rush to leave he didn’t listen to anything that i said or any of my concerns. I would not recommend or ever go back to him for anything even if i was dying
Wonderful, very professional. Best experience ever!
Muy buena, todo muy profesional
I went in today because I was having UTI-like symptoms and sharp pains in my lower left abdomen. They had politics running with high volume in the waiting room. My time in the waiting room was short lived, but once I was in the patient room, I waited 30 minutes before Dr. Gonzalez met with me. He came in, asked me briefly why I was in, and was out of the room and moved on to the next patient within 2 minutes of meeting with me. No follow up inquiries, no advice, no explanations. Just a quick, "we'll call you when we have results from your pee," and 2 prescriptions that were given to me without explanation. I called back after my appointment to get more information and to express my frustration with the lacking bedside manner, because the last time I came to see Dr. Gonzalez, I had a non-rushed and informative experience. Dr. Gonzalez called me back to apologize for my frustration, which I did appreciate. Overall, if I come in to a place in pain with the pursuit of that pain's redemption, I expect at minimum, if not a solution, then at least a consoling bedside manner or an estimated explanation.
Staff were professional and friendly
loved his baby picture wall of all his deliveries so welcoming :)))
I should have known the first visit after waiting over 30 mins past my appt time. Once you arrive they will take vitals but then you would have to go back outside in the waiting area until the doctor is there or ready to see you. The overall office looks old and there are yellow stains around the sinks and in the bathroom. The utensils that are ontop of the sink in a container does not look to be properly sterilized because it is on partially submerged in a blue liquid substance. After only three visit, the last visit i decided not to go back because of waiting for more then 2 hours to see the doctor. Within an hour i was told the doctor will be in and that he is running late. After an hour passed i was informed that he is stuck in surgery but that he just got out and will be in soon and close to 2 hours of waiting he comes in. My whole reason for waiting was due to me wanting to know the sex of my baby only to be told that no he doesn't have time to tell me because of a whole lot of people waiting. Overall the worst experience.
Very professional and he made feel very comfortable. Even though I was a new patient he made me feel very at home
That was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Doctors office. Not only did I wait 45 mins after my appointment to be seen, but the doctor completely brushed off any concerns that I had and acted like I was an idiot. If a patient has concerns for their health and you tell them something 'doesn't count,' I honestly am not sure how you have a medical degree. His lack of bedside manner was outstanding and I wished I would have not wasted my time going to a doctor that treated me like I was a fool. This is the kind of behavior that leads to patients losing trust in doctors. GET IT TOGETHER.
Dr. Gonzales is perfect for any pregnant woman. put our minds at ease. he is professional and friendly. he is very popular so be early there are usually quite a few people there. He is worth it.
I always have a good visit every time I come here !
Dr. Gonzalez was awesome! Even thought I only spoke with him for a few minutes, he was very nice. However, the receptionist was not very nice. I could tell she was very busy, which is very common in an OBGYNn office. It would have been nice if she was a little more friendly but it's okay. The wait was very long. I'm guessing that the Dr. was behind on time but it didnt bother me that much, Im pretty patient. I would advise to come an hour or half an hour before your appt. I loved the fact that he gives the Depo shot right then and there. I've gone to a couple of other doctors where you had to go to your pharmacy to pick up the medicine which is such a hassle when you have to go home to your 7mth baby! Overall, I would recommend the doctor very much. It's just the receptionist that needs more help. I would definitely recommend hiring someone!
He addressed all of my concerns and the staff was great.
