Dr. Cyr is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the North American Spine Society, the Mayo Clinic Fellows’ Association, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Cyr formerly practiced as the Chief of Air Force Spine Surgery and Spine Surgery Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force. Dr. Cyr provides services such as endoscopic spine surgery, anterior lumbar interbody fusion, percutaneous cervical disc nucleoplasty, lateral lumbar interbody fusion, and micro-endoscopic posterior cervical discectomy.
Dr. Cyr received his medical education from the University of Texas, San Antonio. He began both his transitional internship and service to the United States Air Force at the Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Cyr served as a flight surgeon for two years before beginning his orthopedic surgery residency at Wilford Hall. He was then invited to complete a prestigious spinal fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
