Dr. Christine Law received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from SUNY Binghamton and then went on to receive her doctorate of optometry at SUNY College of Optometry in 2002. She did her residency in Ocular Disease at the FDR VA Health System in Westchester, NY in 2003 and has been in practice ever since. In addition to specialized training in Ocular Disease, Dr. Law has experience working with contacts, including fitting specialty lenses and also pediatrics from age 5 and up. “I love optometry because of the relationships you are able to develop with people over time, and the opportunity to make a real impact in one’s quality of life. I believe that as optometrists we are here to provide comprehensive eye care which not only is important from a vision standpoint but also a health standpoint. As primary eyecare providers, we can detect diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.” When not seeing patients, Dr. Law is a self-described “foodie.” She has also been involved in the OneSight Program, providing free eye exams and eyeglasses to patients in need. Dr. Law is a native New Yorker, and currently lives here in Kips Bay with her husband and three young children. Dr. Law is excited to be here to care for a community that is close to her heart.
