Dr. Alla Temkin and Boris Temkin are both gentle and kind people. The office staff gave me a hard time when setting up an appointment, then rescheduled me for a later date and I was in alot of pain. Then when I asked for them to accommodate my schedule due to them rescheduling me, I was suggested to go somewhere else. Would have loved to keep Alla and Boris as my dentists, but the office staff are not so efficient or friendly. Still a high rating though because the actual dentists are efficient and lovely. I was even referred out for my wisdom teeth removal to another AMAZING office. They take care of you while you're there and while you're elsewhere! :)

The office is very old, if you’re looking for advanced technology and a modern set up this is not the place at all.
The dentist was trying to take off one of my old fillings so that I could come back and get it redone there... right there I knew I would never ever come back ...

My first appointment at this office for a routine cleaning. The dental hygienist, Dina, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. After my cleaning, Dr. Alla Temkin came in for the routine examination and she was very friendly and personable. I will be going back and I would highly recommend Dr. Alla Temkin and her staff.

Our family has been going to Dr. Temkin for years. The staff is all polite, know people personally, and are quick and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Temkin. They have two offices, one of which is conveniently located in Rockefeller Center.

The person who does the cleaning is not the doctor. This person seems not to care about the pain she causes when she is cleaning. Never coming here again.

Teeth cleaning lasted about 10 minutes. Hygienist didn't seem thorough with the clean. With that said, I need my teeth cleaned again.

This was my first visit here as I am new to the area. Dr. Temkin was very friendly, professional and offered the right advice. The assistants were friendly, however I felt that a dental cleaning could be a little more thorough. The assistant only did a quick cleaning, and no flouride, which is the most bearable part of going to the dentist. Parking is rough, so arrive early to get a decent spot or park in the garage at the mall and walk.

It was my first visit. I was greeted and immediately offered to fill in an online e-registration, which took just a couple minutes. I chatted with the receptionist, the doctor directed me to the assistant and told me she will see me right after. Everything was done very professionally while also treating me the nicest way possible. I got x-rays, consultation, and cleaning withing 30-40 min and had a chance to ask all the questions I had (which was a lot). I'm very satisfied and will come back for a couple fills I need in the future!

Fastest dentist appointment I have had, only 30 minutes including x-rays. Not sure how much cleaner my teeth are. Saw the hygentist and the doctor came at the end to read my x-rays. Hygentist did not floss my teeth either. At the end both the hygentist and dentist kept pushing me to book my next appointment.

Wonderful dentist. They took the time to make sure I wasn't in pain. The was taken into the office before my appointment time which was wonderful.
All in all I got a checkup and teeth cleaning in enough time to come back to the office from lunch.!

I would absolutely not return to Dr. Temkin's office. At first, there was some confusion about whether I had booked a "consultation" or a cleaning. All I wanted was a cleaning, and a normal check-up, but the receptionist felt it was necessary to act as if they were doing me a favor by giving me a cleaning instead of a (non-cleaning) consultation. The cleaning was performed by a hygienist who was very rough, lasted about 10 minutes cleaning my teeth, and of course didn't do a thorough job. The dentist only came in for a minute to give a sign off and then she was done. Now I feel like I need another cleaning, although my insurance won't pay for it until 6 months have passed.

I went to this office for a cleaning at the beginning of the year. The cleaning was good, though quicker than other cleanings. Dr. Temkin came to do her "evaluation" for about 30 seconds where she didn't even look inside my mouth, but only glanced at my X-rays before telling me I needed to replace two crowns I had done 4 years ago that were not bothering me. She said she would ask my insurance if they would cover the cost of replacing the crowns and get back to me. I said it was fine if she checked, but I wasn't planning on replacing the crowns. Today, at the end of May, I get a letter from the dental insurance company I no longer have, saying that Dr. BORIS Temkin (who is that?) submitted a claim for 2 crowns for $1600 each that were both done a week ago. AVOID this shady dentist's office who submits claims for work they do not even do months after you go for a cleaning!

I must say that I was very pleased and satisfied with my visit with Dr. Temkin. I loved the way she took the time to explain everything to me and was very kind and understanding about my concerns. Great doctor and great office staff! I highly recommend it and will definitely make this my permanent dentist.

Overall great experience! Nice clean office, friendly and professional staff. Best receptionist ever who will put your mind at ease and make you forget you are at a dentist. My cleaning appointment was right on time too. Dr. Temkin was attentive and very pleasant to deal with. She seems to have that personal touch that many people in the medical profession lack these days. Highly recommended!

Dr. Temkin was very friendly and professional which is very rare nowadays; I felt comfortable even though I am usually very nervous to go to a dentist. Dr. Alla was very considerate and knowledgeable; she explained everything in details without any complications. Dr. Temkin and her staff made me feel welcomed. The office is located in good area which was easy to find.
I highly recommend this doctor; I will definitely come back to this office again.

I walk into a very dirty building and walk upstairs to the office after trying the buzzer three times. I highly suggest you throw some paint and maybe a broom through the entry hallway, unprofessional, and my first impression of the place is bad.
Very disappointed in the visit. Waited in the waiting room for 30+ minutes after all of my paperwork was filled out. I was brought back into one of the rooms and immediately 15 xrays were taken, no one had asked me what the issue was or the reason for my visit. Seemed understaffed.
I then had to argue with Dr Temkin about her fixing my tooth or waiting 1 to 2 weeks, and right afterward she is trying to sell me invisaline, and book a cleaning appointment. After I convinced her to book fix my tooth, I waited for another 10 to 15 minutes for another paitent to clear out of the other room because the hygenist did not mention to the Dr the reason for my visit.
I felt more like i was buying a used car than at a dentists office.
Very disappointed, am not going back.

I hate going to the dentist and have been looking for an office that makes the experience as painless as possible. After being scared away from another dentist in the area, I called Dr. Temkin's office and Marisa answered the phone with a bright and enthusiastic disposition and made me feel at ease immediately. This first impression was only validated by my visit to the office where I met with Dr. Alla Temkin who was extremely professional and willing to work with me on expenses for my extensive dental work that I had been putting off. I have recommended this office to everyone I know. Finding a good dentist that you can feel comfortable with is a challenge but it's nice to know that such great providers exist. I will be a lifelong patient of AA dental.

This was my second cleaning but first time seeing Dr. Temkin (I had no issues at my first appointment and she was busy with another patient). The office is brightly lit and very clean. The receptionist is extremely kind and professional. If you like to have things explained to you in detail, I would look elsewhere. They tend to rush you out a bit, but that's fine with me!

The office is bright and cheery. The receptionist is professional and prompt. There was no waiting time and they were able to squeeze me in at the last minute. Dr. Temkin was very gentle and performed my root canal without any issues.

I haven't been to the dentist in quite a while so I was a little nervous. Dr. Temkin and his staff were wonderful. I needed 2 extractions ( something that I was not prepared for) but, I was referred to Dr.Cardo who was great. Everything when so smoothly and an usually frightening situation was handed in the kindest and most professional manner. I highly recommend both doctors for all my future dental needs!
