I found the positive reviews to be the exact opposite of my experience. I've never been so degraded by a provider in my life. She is condescending and does not listen. She had no clue who I was, which is fine, but she could at least take time to review previous notes to prepare for the meeting. I paid so much to be cut off at the 15 minute mark, that is poor patient care.

Amanda Meltzer is probably one of the worst psychiatrists I have ever been with and I've been in and out of mental care for around a decade. She was rude, doubting of my history and talking down to me. Accused me of 'researching things beforehand' and 'coming in with an agenda' and during the intake PAUSED AND TOOK A PHONECALL. So clearly my time or money isn't respected. Doubted my medical history, even as far as saying "Oh that's a new one!" when talking about my past. Condescending and rude and then at the end tried to push onto me her yearly membership? Membership for what??? Meds?????? This is a doctors office there is no need for a membership. Her rates are high and you just pay for her to doubt you and insult you. First thing when I went to see her she talked about getting me tested, I ALREADY AM TESTED. But of course her intake forms never asked for that or else she would've already known like any other good provider would've asked for. What a quack.
