Caring Doctors Medical Center was established in 2003 with the purpose of providing personalized patient-centered care. Choosing a primary care doctor is the most important step towards managing your healthcare. Sometimes called a “doctors’ doctor,” “an internist,” or “doctor of internal medicine,” a primary care physician is proficient in diagnosing, treating, and coordinating your healthcare needs. As a front-line doctor, your primary care physician is your champion for all healthcare needs such as getting treatment in a hospital or coordinating care with your insurance and other healthcare professionals like specialists, physical therapy, radiology centers, and pharmacies. Smitha Manoj is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with special interest in obesity medicine. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Manoj completed her residency training at Columbia University affiliated Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. She was appointed Chief Resident of the Internal Medicine training program while at Overlook. She has been in practice in the Central Jersey area since 2001. She also serves on the board of several charities and civic organizations. She is fluent in English, Malayalam and Hindi. Dr. Manoj is also a USCIS certified Civil Surgeon and does immigration physicals. All vaccinations that are required for immigration physicals are available at the office. Additionally, Dr. Manoj has her own medical weight loss clinic. Obesity affects 1 in 4 people across the country and is associated with many other diseases like diabetes mellites, heart disease, sleep apnea, heart failure, infertility, and cancer. She provides free consultation for patients interested in achieving a healthy weight. Services offered through the weight loss clinic include individualized diet plans and prescription medications as needed.
