Affirming Perspectives Therapy

* I do not prescribe medication! Thank you * I understand how difficult and important making the decision to come to therapy can be. I believe in the power of building a strong, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I know the importance of empathy and the benefit of having your voice heard throughout treatment. My goal is to always create a welcoming and safe space that allows my clients to explore what they need to help them lead a more meaningful life. I believe that therapy is an amazing process in which we work together to build upon innate strengths and discover areas for improvement. My approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based. I employ an array of techniques including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, solution-focused, and motivational therapies in my practice. Additionally, I incorporate an anti-capitalist framework. Every person is unique and brings their own life experiences to the process. Together with my clients, I identify which strategies and methods will be the most comforting and beneficial to each individual. I have experience working with anxiety, life transitions, relationship/interpersonal issues, workplace balance, and stress. I specialize in working with diverse individuals. In particular, I work with the LGBTQIA+ community on an array of issues related to life transitions, sexuality, and gender expression. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Criminal Justice and my Master of Social Work degree at Loyola University Chicago I look forward to meeting you! She is amazing. She is a great listener and I feel very comfortable talking to her about anything and everything!
The absolute best. Nat listens and gives excellent feedback. Although, only being my therapist for a short amount of time. Within this short time, Nat has helped me tremendously through some painful challenges. Above all, Nat has undoubtedly helped me view things from a different perspective.
I had a wonderful first session with Natalie. She asked great questions to get me to open up and describe why I felt it was time for a "mental health tune up," including a few questions I don't yet have answers to! She was warm and friendly, and I'm confident she'll help guide me down the path of learning more about my brain.
