It’s been two years since my visit with Dr. Affleck, and I still have no issues with TMJ!
I originally drove from Salt Lake to Utah County to see a “TMJ specialist” for jaw pain. After two confusing hours, a 3D scan, $250, and a quote of over $10,000 for treatment, I still didn’t understand what was wrong with my jaw.
I went to Dr. Affleck at Affleck Dental for a second opinion, and the experience was completely different. He examined my jaw, clearly explained the problem and my TMJ treatment options, and taught me that an MRI is needed to evaluate the soft tissue and joints. Instead of expensive treatment, he suggested starting with a $20 option and simple things I could do at home—none of which benefited him financially.
Dr. Affleck was honest, respectful, thorough, and never pressured me. After doing that at-home recommendations... two years later, my jaw is still doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Affleck and Affleck Dental for TMJ, jaw pain, or an honest second opinion.
