I’ve been to therapists in the past. There was a lot of talking, but not a lot of true, inner resolve. Alberto had a way of honing right in on the block, leading me in without superfluousness, and teaching me how to be present to the big feelings. Though this sounds simple enough, I know what skill this must require-because the psyche-and different therapy systems-can be very complex. But Alberto’s “way” helped me to begin to practice feeling the feelings without becoming them-a tricky inner learning, that is quickly setting me free. I followed his guidelines for things I could do outside of therapy time to continue the healing. And the new ground feels more well adjusted to life, less afraid of my emotions or outside situations, and more presence in my own body. Alberto is present, guided, skillful and clear.
