At Alder Grove, we focus on preventing and treating emotional, relational, and behavioral issues in individuals, couples, and families. We offer a unique team-based approach to each of our client’s care needs in order to help them achieve their goals. Our experienced mental health professionals have worked together as a treatment team for more than 8 years, and we are skilled at working with children, adolescents, and adults. While we specialize in promoting well-being during life’s transitions, our team also treats emotional and behavioral disturbances associated with depression, anxiety, attention problems, trauma, mood instability, thought disturbances, relationship concerns, and sleep and eating difficulties.
Like our namesake, the Alder Tree, which is known for its strength, endurance, and restorative abilities, our therapists and mental health professionals are focused on helping each of our clients restore balance to their lives. Some of the ways in which we do this include by:

I just started seeing Heather. She has been very great to work with. She has been really thorough and making sure she is looking at the entire picture, which is so important to me. Highly recommend

I am so happy to have found Heather Kirby. I was previously treated by a psychiatrist who was good at treatment but terrible at followup. By comparison, Heather is great at both.
I was at ease with Heather from the very beginning. She has a calming air about her. She is caring and empathetic, and she truly listens.
I have several psychiatric disorders and she is knowledgeable about each of them. At the end of our initial consultation, Heather suggested an adjustment to a medication I was taking, which ended up being a great suggestion. The point here is that she listened to what was going on with me during that initial session. It doesn't get any better than that.

Heather saw both of my children and we all love meeting with her. She's so kind and listens to what they have to say. She makes sure to get their input on their care and makes sure they understand what is being discussed. One of my children doesn't usually speak to doctors, but they will talk openly to her, and that is absolutely a credit to her and how well she does her job. I would recommend Heather to anyone.
