Amanda Ellison, LMHC

I am a mental health counselor licensed in New York with about 10 years of experience working as a therapist and life coach. I also have about 20 years of law enforcement experience. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns to include, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, substance abuse issues, anger management concerns, domestic violence issues and sexual addictions. I also have helped people who have suffered trauma, including first responder traumas, and helped victims of abuse- sexual, physical and emotional. My therapy style is warm and engaging. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I follow the Good Lives Model and believe that our life goals can be achieved in healthy ways. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy to help overcome barriers to success.
