John Njuguna is an excellent provider and I highly recommend him. Before booking an appointment, I noticed lots of reviews saying that John is a great listener, and I found that to be absolutely true. You can openly discuss any concerns with him in a judgement free environment. John is responsive, empathetic, and he is willing to work with you to find the right solution to any of your needs. He is also thorough in the best way; I was sent a few assessments before my first appointment. During my first appointment, it was very clear that John had read through my assessment and was already familiar with me, asking specific and tailored questions.

I found Dr. Njuguna to be polite, friendly, and respectful. He helped me fill out the numerous forms that are required by both Zocdoc and his practice. He had nearly-immediate availability (less than 24 hours after I searched him up) and I am glad to have connected with him!
John goes above and beyond!!!! He truly cares about his patients which is extremely rare to find nowadays. My insurance was giving me trouble and denied me my medication. He called them immediately after and got it squared away without hesitation. I cannot recommend this amazing nurse practitioner enough. I would give 10 stars if it were allowed! ?

This was my first ever appointment for any type of mental health care and John offered wonderful help for my concerns, addressing everything I asked about during our meeting and creating a comprehensive plan outline to start treatment right away. I did not feel rushed or pressured at any point during the appointment, and he made sure to check for understanding throughout the conversation, overall keeping things calm and light. When selecting medication options he immediately asked for my opinion and made sure he received a confirmation notice with my pharmacy while we were on the line. Finally, John made sure I had his contact information so I could immediately reach out with any concerns moving forward. This was a very positive and easy experience.

I was looking to get evaluated for ADHD and John Njuguna made it a very easy and straightforward process. He was nice and listened to everything I had to say. He really was a great listener. He gave me good advice. I am usually one to try and push through mental issues. But I’ve been beginning to fail to or atleast am reaching my breaking point… Amongst other things he reminded me to put myself first and take time to do things that make me happy and even though I’m VERY against taking medication or even therapy in general convinced he’s me that it would help me. He listened to all my concerns and that I don’t care if it’s fda approved I don’t want to depend on it blah blah blah lol... and calmly told me all the possible side effects and the benefits. I can honestly say he got through to me so I’m gunna give it a try.
