It's so hard to find good help out here now a days when money being the main focus then the actual patient I'm so happy I found someone that gets me and my issues as well share a few other things in common. I definitely plan to work with Dr. Aleen and see what can come of our session. She's extremely pleasant and her voice and smile are very welcoming.

Oh wow she is amazing. I was very nervous at first because I have never spoken to anyone professional before she let you lead so you can get comfortable and then when she feels that you’re comfortable she ask questions she does not judge she’s just amazing. She has a very friendly face, her bedside manner she listens I can’t say enough about this lady. I recommend anybody who is looking for someone to talk to she is the one.

I had my first visit with Dr. Boyd-Mckoy and it was nothing less than amazing! I felt like I was being heard and didn’t feel misunderstood like I did with other doctors. A very kind, and courteous professional who made the entire visit feel judgement free! I can tell she wants the best for her patients, and is willing to utilize all avenues to set you up for success. Dr Aleen Boyd-Mckoy is a provider i would recommend. I was able to book an appointment right away and receive great care and follow up. She is flexible with scheduling which I definitely appreciate as finding a provider that can work with my schedule was not easy. I have been in therapy for over 10 yrs and gone through many different drs. NP boyd is by far the best I've ever had. I have seen more improvement in myself and my life since seeing her the last 4 yrs and I have recommended others to her. She listens without having her head in her book writing notes, she gives the best advice, she listens to you as the patient and takes your wants and needs into consideration when treating you. She remembers everything from the previous sessions and that means a lot to me as a patient. I know she has tons of patients and I still feel very important to her because she always puts you first you're not just a number with her

Dr. Boyd was really kind and non-judgmental! It was my first time meeting with her and she asked really great questions and was such a good active listener.

I assume this was my fault, but I was seeking a new psychoanalyst. I believe that the doctor called from a closet (the environment was not indicative of a clinical environment).
When the misunderstanding was apparent, the doctor interrupted me to tell me her name and title and tell me that she was a prescriber of medicine only. I do see a psychiatrist and am already on a “cocktail” of prescriptions that are working to support my physiological journey.
I was then subjected to an interrogation of my medicine without care or concern for the symptoms they treat.
I’ve been treated by whole care physicians in the past, and am now trying to piece together my treatment plan between psychoanalysts who understand my conditions, and psychiatrists who can keep my symptoms at bay with medications.
This was one of the least pleasant experiences I’ve had in 20 years of navigating the world of psychology & psychiatry.

Meeting with Aleen was quite different from any other psych Dr. I've ever met with in the past. For one, we talked for almost an hour of her just getting to know me and about my med history, etc. It is unusual for these doctors because they usually see you for about 15 mins and try and push meds on you. While I need meds, I need what's suitable for my body, and I'm genuinely looking forward to working alongside her to figure out what will be best for me.
