At the Arthritis & Osteoporosis Treatment & Research Center, we treat patients suffering from the full range of rheumatic disease and related disorders. These include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis, Raynaud’s disease, other connective tissue disorders, crystal deposition diseases such as gout and pseudogout (pronounced soo-doe-gowt), including all autoimmune diseases. We also offer a full service Wellness Center which includes many services such as massage,acupuncture, Nutrition lectures and BhRt.

It was horrible. My appointment was for 2pm, when I arrived there was a line outside with 10 people with the same appointment time. I made the appt on Zocdoc and was told by the office they will not honor the appointment and they called to get more information. I told them I returned calls x5 and left 3 messages. To which they added they were too busy to respond. And they are short staffed.
I am happy they were horrible, better to know early on.

The admin handling the phone calls has horrible customer service skills. She should not be handling the phone calls at ALL.

I had a follow-up appointment that I had been waiting a month for. Upon arrival with my child, I was informed that this was not allowed, despite not being told beforehand. They refused to see me because I had my child with me. When I asked for an exception, the staff spoke rudely and threatened to call 911 to have me removed from the office. This experience left me in tears, with headaches and high blood pressure for three days. Instead of receiving treatment, I was traumatized. I do not recommend this place if you value your peace of mind. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated poorly.

I don’t know where to start. All the doctors that I saw where extremely nice, very friendly, answer all my questions clearly, where extremely knowledgeable and patient with me while I gather my thoughts to ask my questions. I was in so much pain I couldn’t think clearly. I love the attention to details and everything they did for me and all the options they gave me. I was so happy that I went to them. Like honestly. They surpassed the expectations and standards. They set the bar high for how doctors should be. The procured they did for my gout helped extremely well. I left in some pain and limping but like 25 minutes felt almost good as new, felt like 60% better. ?

I waited for over an hour, on a crowed waiting room. The doctor was seeing literally a dozen patients at least at the same time. After an hour waiting the receptionist said she "couldn't find my appointment", even though I showed it to her on Zocdoc. She blamed Zocdoc and said that she could schedule with me directly.

I had a great experience at this clinic. The space was clean and organized and the staff was very friendly. I was seen by a different doctor, not Dr. Munoz, but I can't remember his name. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and communicated my treatment options very clearly.

Terrible gate keeping experience at the front desk. They confirm the appointment via Zocdoc, but when you call they tell you it’s ZocDocs problem and you don’t actually have it. When you try to book it over the phone, they want all your medical records before they can actually book it, via FAX. They make you tell them all your symptoms and question that you’re actually sick, feels like a 3rd grade.

I am absolutely shocked and overjoyed by the care I have received by Dr. Munoz and his staff. I was slightly worried by the reviews about his office staff but I have to say they are completely wrong and inaccurate. My s/o was having extremely weird symptoms and was dying and In significant pain unable to function. The hospitals said they didn’t have the right specialists so we traveled 5 hours away to see Dr. Munoz. Right when we walked in we could see the genuine concern they had for her. When Dr. Munoz came in he could almost immediately clinically diagnose her without waiting weeks for the test results. He effectively asked us to stay close and gave her Iv treatments, for 3 days. His doctors and staff arranged for emergency testing and scans of almost every part of her body. The amount of care, dedication and urgent quick treatment and thinking saved my wife’s life and I know for a fact if we didn’t travel to see Dr. Munoz she would be dead.

I was very pleased with my experience at this office. I did wait a bit, however, when dealing with patients who have specific needs, I felt at ease knowing the doctor spent time with each patient.
I can be a hard critic of specialists and the people employed by them. Combine that attitude with an innate crankiness when I’m not feeling at all well and the result can be much less than pleasant.
This time was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care. When I say the doctors, and all the other employees me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, then you can believe they are hard working and caring.
I am truly grateful and won’t get that awful feeling of dread the next time I walk in. I appreciated their follow-up and willingness to answer all of my questions A big thank you to all of them.”

This office is very nice. A few things to point out: -only the patient seeking care is allowed in the office, -if you book with Dr. Munoz you probably will be seen by one of the other doctors. As he’s the owner of the practice but other doctors are the ones that treat patients. They were aware of the appointment booked via ZocDoc. The office was very clean, organized, and so friendly. It was very easy to speak with the internist and Dr. Ramreddy. The staff that does your weight/height/blood word SO friendly and easy to talk to as well as the radiologist. I highly recommend this practice. It was an hour drive for me and well worth it. If you have nothing planned after your appointment, the beach is nearby too.

Dr. Munoz is an excellent rheumatologist. He was very attentive and had a scribe in the room so that he can focus on patient care. The only complaint I have is the wait time. I waited nearly an hour before I was actually seen by the doctor, which is unacceptable.

I had an amazing experience at Dr.Munoz’s office and although English is not my first language he does a great job at trying to make sure I understand what’s going on. He and his team are very professional and also very welcoming. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet such a competent physician and one who you can truly see actually cares about his patients.
