I have over 20 years experience working with individuals and couples on a wide variety of life problems, helping them to become unstuck in their lives and to
feel more optimistic about their future through recognizing their own needs and strengths. My approach is empathic and supportive. I work to help people develop greater trust in themselves and in others, and by doing so achieve greater clarity, self-confidence, and a healthy self-assertion. Over the years, I have seen clients benefit considerably by focusing on what is felt within the therapeutic relationship, and using those feelings as a valuable source of understanding themselves and discovering possibilities and opportunities for change.
I have a Ph.D in clinical psychology from Columbia University where I been an Adjunct Professor for many years. I have a certificate in psychoanalysis from New York University Postdoctoral Progr
