The only thing I can say is that every time I go see Dr. Steven Rittmann everyone is courteous, polite, and helpful. Dr. Rittmann is one of the best doctors that Ascension has on staff, he has been my doctor for more than 30 years and I have complete trust in him. Again he is one of the best.

Dr. Rittmann is superior. He is the only doctor I have ever had that will sit there, listen, and problem solve with you. He is very respectful, has knowledge of family history without speaking on other family members specifically. I scared I will never find another doctor like him when he finally retires. Also, Eileen. What an amazing nurse. Her calls are always informative and she too, is approachable with questions and looking into things together with you while providing knowledge of results. Dr. Rittmann and Eileen give me the feeling that they really do care about helping me and keeping me healthy. That is hard to come by these days, they both are very valuable assets to your business, please recognize that.

Dr.Rittmann was looking out for my health issues and immediately made a referral to a specialist so a further assessment could be done to hopefully find out what is causing my specific health issues. I totally was appreciative for his interest in helping me with my serious health issues.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Rittmann for years, he is by far one of thee best doctors I’ve ever seen. He’s fun. Puts you at ease, answers questions honestly. It feels like a partnership. He also has ability to see big picture more than any other doctor I have seen. The day he hangs up his stethoscope will be a depressing one because he’s an amazing physician.

He’s even helped diagnose things with me outside of general care. I also love his bedside manner, he’s fun and yet professional. You feel comfortable.

I have had the privilege to have Dr Stephen Rittmann as a Primary care physician off and on for years. I am retired now so I chose to come back to him. He is highly intelligent. He is honest and considerate with regards to your needs.
We all know health issues can be scary at times. He is genuine and will provide reassurance as needed.
I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

August, 2021: Dr. Rittman was one of the most kind and genuine doctors I’ve seen in my 48 years. He was friendly from the moment he stepped into the exam room, with a cheerful and outgoing personality. It was my first time there, and years since I’ve had a ‘PCP’. Recently divorced, I had just signed up for new health insurance (BC/BS PPO Illinois) and it became effective the same week I saw him. I hadn’t had insurance for several months so I needed to ‘catch up’ with a couple doctor appointments and I was able to see him within just a few days (they offered good availability, with different dates & times to pick from). I booked it online on zocdoc, and it was quick and easy to input my info and insurance. The Schaumburg location was easy to find and clearly marked with ample parking, the office building has entrances on both Golf and Higgins Roads. Dr. Rittman was knowledgeable and listened carefully to me as I explained why I was there. As a new patient I feel like you never know what to expect, especially since I basically picked his name off a list online. I appreciated all the reviews on here shared by people who have seen him, both new & longer term patients, so I wanted to return the favor and offer some thoughts after my positive experience in August 2021. Dr. Rittman has a great bedside manner and his pleasant personality put me at ease during the appt. I didn’t feel judged at all during the visit, by the staff or the doctor. He was super nice and gave me plenty of time, even though the office appeared to be plenty busy. The front desk was polite and the medical assistant/nurse who roomed me was nice as well. I needed some lab work done after I saw the doctor & that was done on-site without having to wait. The nurse who drew my blood was friendly & did a great job, there wasn’t even the slightest mark visible from the blood draw hours later or the next day….though I wouldn’t fault a nurse for bruising, it happens.
I’m so glad I chose Dr. Rittman ‘off the list’. I will definitely keep him as my primary care physician going forward. He is friendly, down-to-earth & professional and I highly recommend him for anyone looking for good doctor.
