Dr. Anand is a non-insurance/out of network psychiatrist specializes in treatment of anxiety disorders and mood disorders. He emphasis is always on educating the patient on their appropriate diagnoses so that they feel that their symptoms are properly addressed in an 'unrushed' manner, and that they are not being overmedicated, but instead feeling empowered towards their own recovery. Dr. Anand believes in practicing in accordance with how doctors are trained: i.e. to spend time with patients rather than an insurance-driven model that does not allow for a proper discussion or a thoughtful approach to psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
