I'm a seasoned psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. I have over 25 years of experience in helping adults with these conditions maximize their potential, take charge of their lives, and learn to effectively manage challenges. I provide therapy within a framework of empirically based treatment.
Additionally, I have worked in both direct client care and management of staff and the daily operations in an agency setting. I was instrumental in the development and launching of the Drug Court Program in New Haven, CT from 2002 to 2013. I've provided expert testimony on the matter in various courts of law.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my modality of choice, but I am multifaceted in my approach. I will coordinate care with your prescriber in the event that medication management is part of your treatment plan.
I am first-generation American and can relate to acculturation and the challenges it brings. I am fluent in Portuguese.
I am exclusively offering telehealth sessions with day, afternoon, evening and weekend availability.
