Austin Medical Associates
Austin Medical Associates is a boutique internal and family medicine clinic in central Austin. We are not a specialist office. We’re a fun-loving bunch that takes time to learn about each of our patients. We’re local, and a small office, so you will get individualized care.
We are NOT a specialist office.
Insurances: We do not accept Medicaid. We accept most Commercial insurance plans, Traditional Medicare, and most Medicare Advantage plans. If you have an HMO plan we have to be listed as your Primary Care Provider on your insurance.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Nguyen. She was very friendly and responsive. The office was nice and I didn’t have to wait long. I was able to get all relevant vaccines and my blood drawn in one place.

I recommended Dr. Nguyen to all of my friends before I even left her parking lot! Like a lot of people I know, I had been looking for a good PCP for quite some time. I could not be happier to have found Dr. Nguyen. I appreciated the fact that she not only took the time to listen to me with real empathy and understanding but also laid out a clear and actionable game plan for me. She is knowledgable across a range of areas and I feel so much more confident with my health care having her involved. Last but not least, the office was very friendly and efficient.

only 10 minutes with the doctor. Before I left the office, I had a question at the end, but the front desk girl dismissed it, saying I should have asked earlier and said the Medical Assistant will email me the answer… ?? Despite clearly stating it was my first physical, the doctor didn't explain anything and seemed only concerned about birth control and STD testing. They took my blood and urine without explaining the purpose, leaving me feeling frustrated and uninformed. Even after receiving my results online, I still don't understand them. This visit was entirely unsatisfactory, and I won't be returning or recommending this practice to anyone.

I am a new patient to this Dr and the overall practice. I was pleased with Dr Nguyen's manner, she listened closely to my questions and concerns and she was able to address all the various topics and requests that I had for her and set me up with referrals or Rx as needed. Already, I have recommended Dr Nguyen to other family members of mine because their current PCPs are not very responsive.

NPs walk so the rest of us can run, man. Emily Beddingfield is a true blue NP who is hands-on and committed to developing an EFFICIENT care plan that WORKS WITH YOUR NEEDS rather than what might appear the simplest answers, or what might be easiest for the provider/office. I was in a tight spot after seeing a lot of doctors back and forth and after some recent positive experiences with NPs I found her on Zocodoc, placed the appointment extremely last minute, but was seen right away, with the utmost kindness and care (without being fake or put-upon, as some providers can seem to be), and not only helped me with day of solutions to my issues, but went above and beyond in developing a care plan for me to make sense of issues I've been having between different practices. Truly excellent advice and one of the best, if not best, experience I have had in terms of a provider who not only had excellent bedside manner but was an active listener and efficient in her support.

Dr. Beddingfield had an open ear and thorough explanations the whole appointment. She helped me have an understanding of the chronic illnesses I've been dealing with and what can diminish the pain. The appointment had an easy flow to it and I was able to book two appointments with her, got info on a doctor who specializes in my illnesses and got prescribed over the counter medicine before more appointments. She was awesome and I'll continue going to her while I'm in Austin, would totally recommend Dr. Beddingfield as a primary care doctor.
