Austin Medical Associates

Austin Medical Associates is a boutique internal and family medicine clinic in central Austin. We are not a specialist office. We’re a fun-loving bunch that takes time to learn about each of our patients. We’re local, and a small office, so you will get individualized care. We are NOT a specialist office. Insurances: We do not accept Medicaid. We accept most Commercial insurance plans, Traditional Medicare, and most Medicare Advantage plans. If you have an HMO plan we have to be listed as your Primary Care Provider on your insurance.

Before I left the office, I had a question at the end, but the front desk girl dismissed it, saying I should have asked earlier and said the Medical Assistant will email me the answer… ?? Despite clearly stating it was my first physical, the doctor didn't explain anything and seemed only concerned about birth control and STD testing. They took my blood and urine without explaining the purpose, leaving me feeling frustrated and uninformed. Even after receiving my results online, I still don't understand them. This visit was entirely unsatisfactory, and I won't be returning or recommending this practice to anyone.

I was pleased with Dr Nguyen's manner, she listened closely to my questions and concerns and she was able to address all the various topics and requests that I had for her and set me up with referrals or Rx as needed.
