Baorong Acupuncture Clinic

Baorong Wang, L.Ac., LMT, is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with over forty years of formal training and clinical experience. He specializes in treating common conditions such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder tension, sports injuries, stress, and chronic pain using individualized, integrative treatment approaches. He takes time to listen to each patient’s concerns and tailors treatment plans to support long-term comfort, mobility, and overall well-being, helping patients feel supported throughout their care. From September 1977 to August 1980, he studied at Shanghai Zhabei District Health School, completing a three-year professional program in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He later continued his education at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he completed a four-year comprehensive curriculum in Chinese medicine. Beginning in August 1980, Baorong Wang practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine in multiple hospitals in Shanghai, working in the Acupuncture and Tui Na departments, with a clinical focus on internal medicine, gynecology, and trauma-related conditions. In 1988, he relocated to Japan for further study and clinical practice. While continuing to apply principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he also studied and practiced Japanese acupressure and related orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, working in multiple medical and rehabilitation clinics. In 2005, he moved to the United States. Prior to obtaining his acupuncture license, he worked extensively in rehabilitation- and physical therapy–based massage therapy. He later passed the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) examinations and earned the credential of Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). In recognition of his professional achievements and ongoing contributions to the field, Baorong Wang was granted a U.S. employment-based immigrant visa (green card) and previously served as an instructor at a New York college of traditional Chinese medicine, where he taught Chinese Tui Na fundamentals, clinical condition–based treatments, and Chinese Qigong. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Shanghainese, and is able to communicate professionally in English.
