I believe that the only way therapy works is if a good partnership is formed between client and therapist. Goals need to be set together. I believe there needs to be a practical approach to solving the immediate problem as well as an understanding from where the problem stems. I also feel it's important for the therapist to be available to the client whenever possible. I am the coauthor of All You Need to Know about Narcissism that was published in Nov 2011 and have begun to write my next book about ADHD Together, the client and therapist establish issues and goals. We use a lot of reframing to change childhood negative thoughts into adult positive thoughts leading to positive behaviors. By understanding where these thoughts come from, clients can break old and dysfunctional patterns. Throughout my life, I have experienced many challenges. Therefore, I have personally experienced many of the issues listed earlier. Although each persons experience is different, I believe I understand the pain, the anger, the frustration, the sadness, that accompanies many of life's events. I will submit all OON insurances to the companies for my patients
