Administrative Fee Policy Effective January 1, 2025 $25 per visit $150 annual fee (paid in full) This fee covers essential services not reimbursed by insurance, including: Insurance advocacy for denied claims Same-day emergency and Saturday appointments Complimentary medical record requests Expedited medication refills These changes ensure we can continue providing the high standard of care you rely on. To continue this level of service amidst increasing operational challenges, we are introducing an administrative fee effective January 1, 2025 New Administrative Fee Structure: $25 per visit administrative fee What is an Administrative Fee? This fee is charged to cover services not paid by your insurance. It is NOT a concierge fee and is NOT associated with direct medical services. Why Are We Charging an Administrative Fee? Running a private practice in today’s medical landscape has become increasingly difficult due to: Diminishing insurance reimbursements and substantial operational overheads. The rising number of insurance denials, necessitating significant man-hours to advocate for your rightful access to care. Increased demand for communication via patient portals (email, phone calls), which are not reimbursed by insurance. The need to maintain availability for urgent patient needs, including being open on Saturdays. What Services Does the Administrative Fee Cover? Insurance Advocacy: Peer-to-peer reviews for insurance denials (imaging, medications, labs, etc.). Expedited Care: Same-day emergency appointments and extended Saturday appointment availability. Medical Records: Handling patient requests for medical records, which previously cost between $30 and $70, but are now provided free of charge. Medication Refills: Fast-tracked prescription refill requests, provided screenings are up-to-date.

Did not seem to have any interest in my actual lifestyle or routine. Was recommended a whole new skincare line and chemical peel that I did not need or ask for. And the kicker is that the skincare products are Dr. Bussell’s own line. Felt duped the whole time and left with nothing.

Dr Bussell not only an amazing dermatologist, but she also is very kind and compassionate. I would refer her to anyone. Her staff is as great and very organized.
Dr Bussell's office is excellent because they take skin cancer very seriously and are pros in this area, yet their nurses also offer the vanity treatments we all love, like botox and injectables. It's hard to find a good cancer doctor whose office does both well, and Dr Bussell's office seems to be the answer I've been looking for.

Actual appointment was fine, however I was placed with a PA as opposed to the Doctor. They stated they called me and left a voicemail to notify me of this, but I never received a call or voicemail. The wait time was also long. Lastly, they implemented an “administrative” fee which is not mentioned on ZocDoc. This is on top of a co-pay and insurance.

I really enjoyed my visit with Julie, she was very attentive and answered all my questions. Dr. Bussell was very sweet and you can tell she cares about her patients. The doctor was really sweet and comforting at our first appointment I made an urgent first visit cause I woke up with a rather unpleasant to look at and painful breakout. She had me sorted out in no time and put together a perscription- free acne treatment plan to start with which I really appreciated.
