I waited about 25 minutes for my telehealth appointment. The provider was not particularly engaging. She recommended a medication without sharing any of the potential side effects. She inquired about my medical history but did not ask to see proof of my symptoms or concerns. Overall, I’m glad to receive a prescription for my concerns but I was surprised my the long wait time and apathetic bed side manner.

The office itself is very unclean with filthy AC units, broken electric sockets, and a fish tank that looks like it’s never been cleaned. This is was my first time seeing a primary doctor after 2 years of not establishing care and they didn’t check my height or weight, just asked me if i knew it. Yasmin was listening to all of my questions and concerns but she didn’t even know that PCOS recently had a name change to PMOS. I came in with bloodwork done through function health and had concerns about my period cycle change, sharp pains in my chest, lumps in my armpit, etc. It’s been 2 years so i had a lot of questions. Yasmin told me that i shouldn’t look for problems, and that I’m anxious and need to see a therapist. I asked if i could get a mammogram done, from my experience this is common during annual physical exams but she looked at me like i was crazy because I’m not over the age of 40. I left feeling like a nutcase because i was asking questions about my health.
