After Dr. Andy Huang’s unexpected passing, Marina Optometric Center underwent a transitionary period while coping with this sudden loss. The longstanding and loved practice in Marina Del Rey has now found its footing with local resident Dr. Tina Cheng at the helm. Marina Optometric Center has moved down the street to a new location in Marina Del Rey, with a whole new beautiful look, and a new name: Bliss Optometry – to remind all of us to follow our bliss and enjoy life to the fullest while pursuing our dreams each day and moment. Dr. Tina Cheng is committed to keeping Dr. Andy Huang’s optometry practice and legacy, built with over 10 years of his dedication in Marina Del Rey, thriving and well while she finally realizes her dream of having her very own optometry office. Sharing roots from Taiwan that impart hospitality, graciousness, and friendliness, Dr. Tina Cheng also brings a fresh combination of a wide range of scientific medical expertise, holistic integration, and innovative solutions.
It’s been a long journey but we finally made it. We are in our new optometry location in Marina Del Rey. So sorry for the delays as we worked through this challenging time. Thank you for your patience and continued support. We hope to see familiar and new faces as we begin a brand new start for this classic Marina Del Rey optometry office.

Tina Cheng, O.D.
Dr. Tina Cheng is not your everyday eye doctor. A graduate of the top ranked University of California Berkeley School of Optometry and a veteran of a challenging low vision, primary care, ocular disease and rehabilitation residency, she brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal charisma to Bliss Optometry. Her expertise, enriched by a Genetics degree and Master’s program in Molecular and Cellular Biology, along with specialized training in academic and biotech research, training and teaching at five Veteran Hospitals, working in a non-profit grass roots community health clinic for the underserved as well as a renowned Beverly Hills surgical center with Hollywood elite celebrities, positions her as a well-rounded eye health expert in our practice. She is equipped with an insightful blend of academic knowledge and clinical skills.
Combining her passions for education, holistic wellness, intuitive and analytical problem solving, as well as hands-on creativity, Dr. Cheng is a true medical detective and Renaissance woman, developing solutions outside of the box. Whether she’s giving tips and life hacks during procedures, sharing tales of her adventures with her son, cat, and dog, or discussing her latest longevity discovery, her vibrant personality is a breath of fresh air in the clinic. Her approach to eye care is much like her approach to life: dynamic, meticulous, conscious, optimized, and always with a touch of flair.
