Bradley Sears Counseling

Regardless of the challenges you face in life, I believe growth and healing are possible. Therapy can help you deepen your relationships and cultivate more passion, meaning and resilience. My approach, a synthesis of a range of theoretical orientations, is built on a foundation of empathy, acceptance and trust. I won't view you as a collection of symptoms, but rather as a whole, complex person with a unique life and experiences. Since 2004, I have worked with both adults and young people ages 14 to 19 of all sexual orientations, specializing in anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I also have deep experience in working with those who need assistance with ADHD, addiction, anger management, codependency, life transitions and trauma. I offer psychological testing, guidance in mindfulness, homework and practical exercises that can help you progress toward your therapeutic and life goals. I accept a wide range of insurance plans and also offer a sliding payment scale based on need. Please visit my personal website at bsearscounseling.com. I am a Candidate at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, and am currently accepting new patients for psychoanalysis. Psychoanalysis is a more intensive treatment than psychotherapy. The increased meeting frequency facilitates inner exploration and can more readily alter deeper, long-standing patterns. Working with root causes, psychoanalysis endeavors to create more robust, lasting changes in the personality.
