I’m extremely grateful that I was able to connect with NP Charlene for medication management. An important part of mental health is not only speaking to, but being heard by our providers. I felt that she listened and I was clearly heard, and because of it I was able to avoid the negative impacts of my previous provider abruptly pulling my medication.

Dr. Charlene was great! She asked all the right questions, really listened to what I had to say, and offered clear solutions for why I came in.
What stood out most was how comfortable she made me feel right away. I didn’t feel rushed or judged at all.
I would absolutely go back! We already set up ongoing care, and she’s now my official psychiatrist. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hirsch’s bedside manner was disappointing. She documented that I “self diagnosed” myself with ADHD and that, because I’m “bright and usually think [I am] right,” it was difficult for me to accept disagreement. Apparently, asking questions about diagnostic reasoning is a personality flaw.
She was condescending, attributed longstanding symptoms to depression despite my explaining they predated it, declined to review my symptom list, and never consulted my longtime therapist, who also suspects neurodivergence. I also experienced poor communication about medication changes and felt dismissed when discussing discontinuation after four months.
As a Licensed Midwife and MFT graduate student, I value curiosity, humility, and collaboration. Instead, I felt my questions were treated as challenges to her authority. There’s a difference between clinical confidence and ego, and unfortunately, ego was my takeaway.
I would absolutely not return and recommend seeking care elsewhere.

This was a disappointing session.
Dr. Hirsch came into the appointment hostile and when I was having issues with my camera she made some condescending comments. I had mentioned I have autism and she said snarkily, “there’s no medication for autism” and then proceeded to say that just by looking at me she doesn’t believe I have autism. It all came off very arrogant. Not a practitioner who leads with compassion.

The doctor listened to what I had to say. She asked me the question she needed to ask me my diagnosis she asked me what helped for me. I told her she put me on the medication’s that usually help for me and I thank her for that I’m feeling a lot better and I will have another appointment with her in a month. It’s very happy that I got to meet her.
