Brain Repair Therapy Services
Brain Repair Therapy Services is a therapy practice in San Clemente, California, offering individual therapy, therapy for teens and young adults, couples counseling, and a 12-week DBT Skills Group. Sessions are available in person at our office at 3551 Camino Mira Costa, Suite K, or by telehealth anywhere in California.
We specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and treat anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, and addiction, with particular depth in cases where substance use and trauma overlap. Every clinician on our team holds an addiction credential in addition to their clinical license, and our Clinical Director, Doug Pleiman, is both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Our approach is practical and skills-based. We draw on DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care, and we focus on what is actually happening in your life and on concrete tools you can use between sessions. The DBT Skills Group meets in person in San Clemente with rolling admission, covers mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, and is open to people who are not current clients.
Your first individual, couples, or teen session is free and runs the full length of a regular session, so you can decide whether the fit is right before committing. We are open seven days a week, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and evening and weekend appointments are available depending on the individual clinician's schedule. We are a private-pay practice and provide superbills for PPO plans with out-of-network benefits.
