Bright Sun Therapy
Have you ever had a panic attack come out of nowhere and wondered what was happening to you? Maybe you’ve started avoiding driving, crowded stores, traveling, being far from home, or places where you worry you might have another one. Or maybe there aren’t panic attacks at all—you just can’t shut your mind off. You’re constantly thinking ahead, worrying about what could happen, and exhausting yourself trying to stay one step ahead of it.
Anxiety isn’t the only reason people come to therapy. You may be dealing with thoughts or behaviors you can’t seem to get control of, something painful from your past that still affects you, depression that has taken the enjoyment out of things, or a period in your life where you simply don’t feel like yourself.
We’ll look at what’s happening and what keeps it going. Sometimes that means learning how to respond differently to anxiety or intrusive thoughts. Sometimes it means confronting things you’ve been avoiding. Other times, the work is about understanding experiences and relationships that continue to affect how you feel today.
I have nearly a decade of experience working in mental health. I’m involved in sessions, I ask questions, give feedback, and will challenge you when I think it will help. I use CBT, ERP, ACT and other approaches depending on what we’re working on and what works best for you.
Bright Sun Therapy offers telehealth appointments throughout New York.
