Buckhead Counseling Group

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in school counseling and a passion for helping teens and young adults find their footing through life’s toughest seasons. For years, I’ve worked alongside students, families, and educators, supporting teens who felt overwhelmed by academic pressure, anxiety, social changes, or family transitions. I know how difficult it can be to keep up with everything while feeling like you’re falling apart on the inside. My goal is to create a warm, down-to-earth space where teens can open up, gain clarity, and build coping skills that last beyond the therapy room. My Approach to Therapy My therapeutic style is grounded in the belief that healing happens when we understand both where we’ve been and how we’re coping now. I blend several evidence-based approaches to offer care that is practical, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients understand how difficult experiences shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—and to build healthier ways of responding. I incorporate principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and reduce patterns of conflict or disconnection in relationships. When clients feel overwhelmed by strong emotions or stress, I use skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support grounding, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and effective coping. While I use these structured tools to create meaningful change in the present, my work is also informed by psychodynamic insight, which means we gently explore how past experiences, beliefs, and relational patterns may still be influencing your behavior today. Simply put, I help you understand your story, develop practical skills for managing what you’re facing now, and build healthier patterns for the future—within a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. My goal is for you to feel seen, understood, and empowered as we work together toward healing and growth.
