I’m sharing this because asking for help after a relapse can feel terrifying. After 10 years sober, I slipped and was scared of the physical detox. Kristina, my psychiatric nurse practitioner, treated me like a whole person, actually talked to me, and communicated quickly when I needed support. She helped me through detox tremendously. She expects accountability, but she also made me feel safe and supported during one of the hardest moments of my life. Her guidance helped me get back on track and feel like myself again.

Over the years I have had some trouble finding compatible providers both PCP but especially for mental health needs. Especially this time moving back from Vegas- appointments and medications were a big source of my frustration. Kristina was recommended by a friend and I was able to get scheduled within a week. And then, even better- she had a cancelation and was able to be seen 2 days later. BEST EVER. immediately felt that I was being heard and not being dismissed about my struggles. Felt like a conversation vs trying to explain myself- I am not super comfortable sharing my latest diagnosis but she immediately made me feel comfortable and was actually suer excited that it was EASY to find someone so fantastic so quickly. I have since recommended her to others because i feel so lucky to have had such a seamless process but such an amazing provider. I cant say enough wonderful things about her and how comfortable she made me feel. Thank you Kristina- looking forward to this journey
