The physicians of Capital’s Women’s Care are a premier group of nearly 200 providers in 30 locations throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. Many of these physicians have been practicing medicine for over 30 years. We are proud to be a part of this outstanding organization. Our division of Capital Women’s Care has been in practice in Montgomery County since 1987. Over the years, we have delivered thousands of babies and provided healthcare to numerous women of all ages. The Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors List and Checkbook Magazine’s Best Doctors have included us in their annual listings for most of those years. We have served our community and Shady Grove Medical Center with pride and distinction. Dr. Gurdian is currently the Medical Staff Secretary/Treasure and member of the Peer Review Credentialing/Performance Improvement Committees at the Hospital. She was the prior Chief of the OB/GYN Department.

Dr was attentive and kind. This was a last-minute appt but would see her again.

Dr Ghatan was on time and friendly. Since we recently relocated from out of the country I gave her some background and we briefly talked about some concerns I had. Since most of them would fall on the fertility side Dr quickly explained that she wouldn’t be able to help with even the basics of that which I was used to do with my previous Ob/Gyn and refer to a fertility clinic instead. The annual check up was quick and smooth.
I assumed getting my annual obgyn exam should've been free, but I ended up getting some extra charges, because apparently I had discussed matters that aren't included in preventive services. The only thing I did was ask for a birth control prescription, which I've discussed with other providers in the past during my annual exam, without incurring any charges. Feels like they were just submitting claims in a way to get extra money from insurance.
I usually see Dr. McCune, but because of my work schedule I saw Dr. Ghatan. I was pleasantly surprised, because she has a very sweet demeanor and answered all my questions, making me feel reassured!
