Carter Family Practice (CFP) provides telehealth-based family medicine and urgent care services with a focus on accessible, patient-centered care. We believe in treating the whole person while delivering evidence-based medical care that is practical, respectful, and easy to access.

I needed to find a new primary care doctor that takes my insurance. I found KAREN CARTER she was available with telehealth and I was able to get an appointment today. They sent me all the paperwork that I needed to fill out. I had my telehealth appointment. She was so thorough and listened to everything that I had to say and made sure we went over everything that you go through for a new patient her bedside manner was impeccable totally amazing and comfortable. I feel like it will be easy to communicate back-and-forth. I can email I can text. I can call it anytime I can schedule a telehealth anytime.

Hello,
I am suffering from the worst sinus infection. I have never left many reviews but she deserves one. I work as a Psychologist, but unfortunately my job is a smaller workforce and we are not provided health insurance. It was $49 dollars to be seen. I am based in Maryland she was able to get me a work letter and I never take off work and prescribed me antibiotics that seem strong enough to get rid of this bad infection. She even called two days later to check in on me. The visit was only $49 I highly recommend for anyone that does not have insurance. She will take care of you and it’s a kind family practice.

Dr. Carter, was great. She was attentive, and listened to me and my concerns. I even had a problem with the pharmacy not having my medication in stock, I was able to contact her office and received a very prompt return phone call from Dr. Carter herself. She was willing to write me a different prescription so I didn’t have to go without my medication. The pharmacy did have enough of my initial medication to give me a month until the remainder arrived to the store, so I didn’t need the other prescription, but it was very comforting to know that Dr. Carter was ready to help if needed. Highly recommend. I will make appointments with her in the future for sure!

Easy to book an appointment with, to see her was very affordable for me but the most important part was her knowledge and bedside manner, along with a very understanding and caring attitude. it’s been the best virtual visit I’ve ever had, honestly. I’ve used “virtual visits” before and felt as if I wasted my time and my money. I’m an easygoing person so it takes a lot to make me feel bothered like that. My five star rating is a real true 5 star rating, she is one I will go back to see again and again. If I’m sick I don’t like to have to go out to see a health provider, virtual visits are perfect for me, especially now that I finally found a good one.
